Dementia Australia program that aims to build understanding, awareness and acceptance of dementia in the community. It supports people living with dementia to continue living in the community. Dementia Friendly Communities programs are provided by both Dementia Australia and Alzheimer’s WA.
Dementia Support Australia
A national partnership, led by HammondCare, that incorporates the Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Service (DBMAS) and the Severe Behaviour Response Teams (SBRT) to provide support and advice to providers and individuals caring for people with dementia.

Providing a coordinated national approach to dementia care education and training for individuals and organisations.
National Dementia Helpline
A free, confidential phone and email information and support service for anyone interested or concerned about dementia.
Younger Onset Dementia Hub
Provides information and support to improve the quality of life for people with younger onset dementia.
NHMRC Boosting Dementia Research Grants
These grants provide financial support for individual researchers, teams and organisations to undertake dementia research and projects.
Australian Alzheimer’s Research Foundation
Provides support to the work of Alzheimer’s researchers to assist them in undertaking projects aimed at treating Alzheimer’s disease.
Dementia Australia Research Foundation
The foundation funds dementia research across all stages, with a particular focus on supporting new and early career dementia researchers.
Dementia Action Week 2022
Dementia Australia’s national awareness-raising campaign held every year in September.
