About the Global Centre for Modern Ageing

By 2031, an estimated 6 million Australians will be aged 65 and over. But, while we’re living longer, we’re not necessarily living better.
The Global Centre for Modern Ageing®, led by CEO Julianne Parkinson, is focused on what the emerging Modern Ageing® sector could mean for communities and businesses, both in Australia and abroad.
We produce world leading research outcomes and provide advisory and living Laboratory services, assisting governments, businesses, and researchers to unlock the immense value of lived experience. Our valued community of older co-designers work alongside businesses to design, build and commercialise usable, likeable products and solutions, tailored to the needs and preferences of older users.
At the heart of the GCMA is the belief that our lives play out in phases, with each phase representing a different opportunity to contribute to society in a meaningful way – through work, learning, enterprise, leadership and more.
